FAQs

Your plan will be detailed with your name and the project address.  If you require more customization, simply submit an inquiry.

Your order is usually processed in 1-2 business days.  Actual delivery time is typically 2-3 business days after the completion of processing.  However, depending on the amount of customization, this could take more time.

Because every project is unique, and the nature of renovation work is unpredictable, we do not provide detailed costs.  We suggest you check online for local construction costs for your area and meet with 3 reputable builders for a more accurate cost.

Submit your changes in a bulleted list and we will reply with a timeframe and cost for the changes to be made.

Right On Plans was developed with typical homes and additions in mind.  However, we can certainly design custom plans!  Please contact us for more information.

Our plans include the following:

Cover Sheet – a rendering of the finished addition.  This is not necessary for construction, but serves as a visual aid to represent the finished product.

Foundation Plan – a detailed drawing of the foundation to include dimensions, thickness of foundation walls, and other construction notes and details.

Floor Plan – a detailed drawing to include room dimensions, window and door sizes and locations, wall sizes, and other layout and structural details and notes.

Exterior Elevation – to provide views of all sides of the addition, to describe the look and feel of the exterior, trim, and other exterior elements, as well as roof pitch and height.

Details – other construction details may be found throughout the plan.

Sections – showing the composition of foundation, walls, roofs, floors, etc.

Plumbing, electrical, and mechanical drawings.

Site drawings.

Interior elevations and finish selections such as cabinetry, flooring, and countertops.

Our addition plans are based upon typical homes with typical construction, and almost always fit your needs.

Our plans contain the information to build, but they may not include all of the information that your local county or permit office requires. We strongly advise that you consult your local building official to verify what you will need to submit for your building permit.

Fast turnaround – instead of months with an architect, you’ll have your addition plans within days.  This allows you and your contractor to save time with the construction of your addition.

Save time – our plans have been previously built, so problems or obstacles have already been identified and resolved.  This means fewer changes and a more streamlined timeline.

Save money –  with a plan, estimated costs are reduced because details are already taken into account.  Potential issues and problems have already been resolved, which reduces labor costs.  Customers can put the money that would have been spent on an expensive architect towards materials and amenities for their home.

Fewer headaches – because our plans have already been built, most of the typical associated construction problems have been resolved. This means less complications for you when you are in the construction phase of your project.
